Butterfly project announced for art and essay contests

As the essay and poster portion of Tolerance Week, we are asking students to create in words or visually, a butterfly as a memory of the 1.5 million children that were killed in the holocaust.

Students can download a template of a butterfly (there are many different kinds on the internet) that is no smaller than 4 inches across and no larger than 7 inches across. It needs to be made of paper entirely. Butterflies will be strung on line and hung in the Orpheum for the production.
All butterflies must be received at 1922 Pierce Street by 6 pm on February 22.
